Hello and welcome aboard the Prince George's Power Squadron's website. We are proud of the fact that we have been in active since 1970. We serve the Baltimore-Washington corridor, with our membership coming from Columbia in the North to Chesapeake Beach in the South; from Riverdale Park to Crofton and Bowie.

We are a private, non-governmental organization dedicated to self-education, civic service and fun boating. We are one of the squadrons in the United States Power Squadrons, the nation's premier recreational boating education organization.

Our primary mission is promoting boating fun combined with boating safety, and we do this through formal and informal training, planned cruises and raftups, contests and social events. We offer a number of courses to members in all facets of boating such as seamanship, piloting, marine electronics, engine maintenance, sail, etc. Taken elsewhere, some courses can cost as much as several hundred dollars!

Those interested in membership in Prince George's Power Squadron should sign up for our Boating Course which is offered each spring and fall to the public. This course is offered in Laurel and Bowie and is given as a public service. Instruction is free; a small charge is for the materials provided. Those completing the Boating Course and passing the exam may request a membership application.

Browse our website as often as you like. If you have questions, post them and a member will respond. Have a safe and fun boating season!
